Tan-y-Deri is a Residence designed for Frank Lloyd Wright’s Sister Jane Porter. Construction was completed in 1917. This residence is now part of the large estate established by Frank Lloyd Wright, Taliesin.
As a recent graduate of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture in October of 2010, Simón De Agüero was offered the opportunity to produce a Historic Structures Report Summary of Tan-y-Deri. The Intention of the work was to establish critical decisions related to the period of significance, programatic use, and general material choices. This effort was sponsored by the Taliesin Fellows and is a continue restoration effort of the Taliesin Preservation Inc and The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
