The nature of this study was intended to be an full immersion into finding the resources and the basic principles related to fabric architecture.  Simón visited multiple fabric structures in AZ and analyzed the details and structure related to these types of construction.  Simón also researched contemporary architects, engineers, firms, and publications that work in this field.

The use of fabrics in any architectural application involves balancing the forces related the flexible components and the rigid components that keep the installation in place.  The combinations of this basic principle is limited only by the variations of geometry in three dimensional form. 

Most fabrics structures require additional preliminary design work and testing to ensure the appropriate material and strength for the climate and programatic needs.
